Recommendation
"I highly recommend Cathy Rouyer at triogranthelp.com for your TRIO grant writing needs.  She led us through our entire grant writing process with great skill, precision, and a collaborative style.  When the process felt confusing or overwhelming, Cathy’s strong organizational and communication skills plus her knowledge of the TRIO community were invaluable.  As a result of her grant proposal, we were awarded a new 5-year award."

:: GENERAL TRIO INFORMATION
The TRIO programs are funded under the Higher Education Act of 1965 and currently include seven different programs targeting educational levels from 6th grade through a postbaccalaureate degree.

The federal TRIO programs were established by Congress to help low-income and first-generation students prepare and succeed in programs of postsecondary education.

Student Support Services (SSS) - assists participants to successfully complete an undergraduate program of study through academic advisement, counseling, and information on financial aid.

Talent Search (TS) - helps youth to complete secondary education and encourages entry and re-entry into programs of postsecondary education.

Upward Bound (UB) - is an academically intensive program designed to help students gain the skills and motivation necessary to complete secondary and pursue postsecondary education.

Upward Bound Math/Science (UBMS) - is similar to Upward Bound, but focuses on careers and supplementary education in the mathematics and scientific fields.

Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) - is designed to help Veterans enter or reenter secondary and postsecondary education through advising, financial aid information and counseling.

Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) - counsel, assist and provide information regarding financial aid and admissions to adults who wish to pursue further education.

Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair) - prepares participants for doctoral study through involvement in research, internships, and other scholarly activities.
